Neuropsychological Evaluation

Neuropsychology is a specialized area of psychology that examines the complex interactions among brain structure and function, psychological/emotional factors, medical factors, and thinking. A neuropsychological evaluation can help clarify cognitive, emotional/behavioral, and adaptive functioning in the context of concerns about the effects of medical, neurological, or psychiatric conditions on skills such as attention, memory, language, and others.

Dr. Lundy provides clinical and forensic neuropsychological and psychological evaluations for adults (18+) and clinical evaluations for adolescents (16+) with specific medical conditions (e.g., traumatic brain injury). She also offers evaluations to asses for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in adults.

What to Expect

An evaluation typically includes:

  • A detailed clinical interview with the client and collateral informant(s) where available

  • Review of relevant medical, academic, behavioral health, or legal records

  • Administration of standardized cognitive and psychological tests

  • A comprehensive written report with findings and recommendations

  • A feedback session to review results and next steps

Testing may range from one to eight hours depending on the referral question.

The goal is not simply to measure performance, but to provide clarity — understanding strengths, identifying concerns, and offering meaningful recommendations.
